have you guys ever done a fall expedition to Cabot trail? i heard its amazing, im trying to turn my 2019 Jeep Cherokee Sport into an overlander, amazing content! its videos like this that make me want to overland with good people and just get away from the worries of life for a while

Growing up through the 70's and 80's my Dad always had Jeeps, my brother is a big Jeep guy owning several (still has 1984 CJ7 and 1978 Cherokee, I was a Ford guy and still own a 2019 F150 but I decided on the 2020 Jeep JT Rubicon - it just seemed better at the little things, you can tell the Jeeps have had a ongoing evolution.

Nice Gladiator build, that is a wish list in one jeep, my 2020 JT Rubicon looks stock compared to that, lots of great ideas, these rigs are never finished, but no matter what budget or set-up, just getting out is the important part. Looks like everyone is out on the trail and using there gear - great video.

That was a very generous thing to do, great to see there are good people that will take the time to assist others, you guys did great with the limited gear you had, awesome.

Beautiful Cape Breton. Been to all of these places except that beach with the mowed grass. I usually stay on Framboise beach which is crown land.

Sorry that I am viewing this vid kinda late. Was up by Marquette, MI camping myself. Excellent trip! Takes awhile to process losing Zeus. Just like Nam, the guys are tight and so are dogs. You deal with loss, but you DON'T forget them! Looking forward to your next adventure section of this trip.

Great video, I live in Cape Breton and that is much of my experience trying to overland lol. There are some cool trails that don't really have good camp spots. Most of the small amount of crown land we do have is inaccessible. There are a few hidden gems scattered throughout, but they're often just a short trail off a paved or dirt road. New Brunswick is much better, same kind of mountains and beaches, but more crown land and more logging roads.

As a local from Ingonish Beach, I'd say you hit 2 of the best spots up here! Gotta a tunda that's been up every nook and cranny in the highlands. Cheers, thanks for posting!

` I have been using a set of those leveling blocks now for a couple of years. They work well if used on softer soil/ground, don't get much bite on harder, rocky soil. The more you need to stack them up on hard/rocky soil, the more they want to slide trying to drive up on them. Especially if there is an incline. Just a tip, always use the same blocks as bottom blocks. Those are the ones that get beat up.

Next time might I suggest using a splitting axe, haha just pulling ur leg. But seriously, Different axe for different jobs, your axe is a falling axe, not splitting axe, that’s why it didn’t split. It’s not that she didn’t have enough power or splitting wrong, it’s that that axe did exactly what it’s suppose to do, cut.

Nice trek. Will have to join in next time. I am so sorry for Zeus ! My heart broke when I saw this. You look tired at the beginning of the video as you must have been dealing with the lost of Zeus plus the organization of this trip. Although you had him only for a few years, he lived more than a lot of dogs. Thought you would have talked about Zeus. You did not talk about it. What happened? Must be hard. Take care and keep on documenting your explorations.
